About
My name is Brooke McGuffin. My love of flowers comes from childhood, on the outskirts of Atlanta, GA, in summers spent at my grandmothers’ houses. My grandmama on my mom’s side had giant hydrangea bushes taller than I was with the most brilliant royal purple blooms I’ve ever seen. My grandmother on my dad’s side kept gardenias, whose smell carries only good memories for me.
“Kindred Florals” comes from my love of the Anne of Green Gables film series, in which Anne refers to her dearest friends and family as “kindred spirits.” My hope for my work with flowers is to bring joy to you and your kindred spirits.
I live in Atlanta, GA with my husband and my garden. I grow things in my yard with the dream of one day being able to create a bouquet of flowers cut from my yard. I started Kindred Florals because I love floral design and I love bringing that joy to others.
One my values is caring for the earth. Where possible, I will try to use locally sourced ingredients and environmentally sustainable practices. This means that I steer clear of green floral foam, choosing foam free mechanics in its place. Additionally, I will recycle, reuse, or compost any waste that I produce.
